Home About VA-ER Voluntary Action Homepage Introduction

Throughout 2008, the Scottish Government consulted with Local Authorities and Councils for the Voluntary Sector to create a single structure for consultation, engagement and support for the Third Sector in their areas.

In many local authority areas this structure has taken the form of a combined Volunteer Centre and Council for the Voluntary Sector.

On the 1st April 2009, Voluntary Action was officially adopted as the Single Interface for East Renfrewshire.

Voluntary Action has established the Third Sector Forum as our vehicle for consulting and engaging with local third sector organisations.  This will facilitate information flow between the Community Planning Partnership and the third sector organisations, and enable us to offer training, information sharing, networking and participation opportunities to all partners involved in the development and growth of the Third Sector in East Renfrewshire.
