What is it?

The BefriendER project aims to provide companionship and support to socially isolated older people throughout East Renfrewshire.

Our volunteers work alongside older people, to encourage social and community involvement.

What services do we offer?

The project runs a variety of services, including one-to-one befriending, peer befriending, quarterly group events, and a weekly Chataway telephone befriending service.

The BefriendER Project has achieved the Volunteer Friendly Award – the first in Scotland to achieve it in the national rollout!

Knitting ManiaKnitting Mania, the BefriendER projects intergenerational knitting group started on Wednesday 25th May, and has now finished successfully.

The BefriendER project offeres a range of services to support socially isolated older people throughout East Renfrewshire.
