National Council for Voluntary Organisations
The largest umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector in England with sister councils in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It is a lobbying organisation and represents the views of its members, and the wider voluntary sector to government, the European Union and other bodies. They also research into, and analyse the voluntary sector.

It works to build capacity in communities and voluntary organisations through a range of services. They work to reduce social isolation, increase employability and regenerate communities.
